Saytek & Shane Watcha
4 Track EP
Decay Records returns this August with ‘Double’, a various artists package featuring Saytek, Shane Watcha, Robert Babicz and Ray Okpara.
Since its launch in September 2013 Decay Record has steadily carved out a name for itself in the realms of stripped-back, underground House music. Welcoming the likes of Neverdogs, Hector, Franck Roger and Death On The Balcony onto its roster amongst many more. Here we see Decay adding yet more reputable names to its roster, namely KMS/Motech artist Saytek, and Zombie Soundsystem founder Shane Watcha.
Taking the lead is Saytek with ‘Cancelled Show’ who sets the tone with a melodious and brooding contribution laid out over seven and a half minutes with snaking bass grooves, airy atmospherics and shuffled rhythms. Robert Babicz remix follows laying focus on twister 303 lines and robust drums whilst keeping the airy aesthetic of the original composition in tact.
Next up is Shane Watcha with ‘Alkaline’, bringing the dubby stripped-back feel Decay has become known for into the limelight. Ray Okpara then turns in two remixes to round out the package, firstly his ‘Guitare Version Mix’ which lays focus on organic rhythms, stuttering synths and choppy guitar licks in the latter stages while the second remix puts the focus solely on the raw percussive groove.
The ‘Double Part 2’ package is out on Decay Records on August 25th 2017. Tracklist

About Decay Records
Decay Records was launched in September of 2013 by Davide Zeta, known for his work as Dzeta N’ Basile via the likes of Real Tone, Moodmusic, ViVa and 1trax.
Since launching Decay Records, the label has gone on to welcome a broad spectrum of established and hotly tipped artists onto its roster. Ranging from remixes and original material by leading names in underground Tech House such as Sascha Dive, Jay Tripwire, Franck Roger and Hector, through to more Techno focused artists like Nathan Barato and Dave Pezzner.
As the label pushes on, its coterie of artists continue to firmly cement its standing in the world of underground electronic music, and with support coming in these early stages from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Ryan Crosson, Dubfire and Mr.G, it’s evident that Decay Records will continue to grow and form itself as a go to label for the more discerning listeners across the globe.
Davide’s A&R skills have also helped to guide an array of new talents to further establish themselves via the label,
